Thomas and Liz are in the same grade, Liz doesn't speak, instead she takes pictures if there is something she wants to say. When they are out canoeing with another school class they get to know Ellen and Pelle. During their Canoe trip the four of them get lost from the others, the weather turns bad and they take refugee on a island where they witness something, a gang of skinheads playing war in the woods on the island, and then things begin to happen...
