The series begins on May 22, 1963, in Wrocław. When Łucja Winter concludes her foreign intelligence mission, no one expected the capital of Lower Silesia to become the epicenter of a deadly infectious disease. The residents of Wrocław are cut off from the outside world, beginning an unprecedented fight for survival.
