Teen prodigy Lin Dongfeng and wealthy heiress Zheng Wanzhi are a campus couple trying to avoid the cliché of breaking up after graduation. At the same time, Lin receives an unexpected invitation from Gu Binqing, head of domestic tech giant Huasheng Group. While he hesitates, a comment he posts online about controlled nuclear fusion draws intense national and international attention. Renowned physicist Wu Wenyong recognizes Lin's extraordinary talent, and under the leadership of Minister Yang Zhengdao, a "Chasing the Sun" task force is formed, with Lin appointed as its lead. As they push through multiple phases of fusion research, Lin faces mounting challenges—from rivals attempting to steal breakthroughs, to emotional dilemmas, to internal scrutiny and political pressure—testing both his scientific vision and his resolve.
