Andrey Ermolov is a fashionable Moscow surgeon, a brilliant diagnostician, with whom appointments are made a year in advance. But Ermolov starts having problems - he is accused of the death of a patient. At the same time, nurse Nastya is taking her seriously ill younger sister Lisa to Moscow for diagnostics. Ermolov is her last hope. But Andrey has no time for the 2 sisters, he tries to prove his innocence, gets into trouble and gets fired. Ermolov is experiencing a severe crisis, which he is trying to suppress with alcohol. Beloved girl Christina leaves, colleagues betray him, and his future career is in question. He also exhibits strange symptoms. Andrey's friend, psychotherapist Sergei, takes him to a provincial town for recovery.
